Instead, Burners rely on the tradition of gifting for anything they need or might have forgotten to bring. From food to art, to a relaxing massage you can barter anything amongst the friendly campers. To be safe, however, you should remember to bring as many essentials as you can, with some to spare for those who didn’t.

Bring your A-game to the festival by dressing up to express your best inner place – this is a judgment-free zone! Just remember not to bring unnecessary attention to yourself by being needlessly loud, obnoxious, or abrasive in your appearance and behavior. With great freedom comes great responsibility, and keeping the needs and comforts of your fellow person in mind is essential. Empathy is an essential property of any Burner, and there are many people that attend just to express their generosity and compassion.
