Just wait for the right moment before taking a long-running jump and then plunge your spear into the heart of your prey! Manabu Kurita from Kyoto, Japan managed to catch a bass weighing 22 pounds and 4 ounces in 2009. The average weight of bass is around 12pounds. We must applaud this fisherman's skills! We would probably struggle to hold a monster that big up, not to mention wrestling with it for what must have been a drawn-out and intense reeling! If this guy did not release the monstrous bass then he would have enough meat to open up a fish and chips joint that very day.
