They can appear anywhere in the body and vary in color and shape. This young man, however, has an incredibly placed birthmark that has not only lightened his skin by his forehead but a section of his hair, too. It is almost as if he has been blessed by some magical being, or marked for some incredible purpose.

4. Vitiligo

While it is amazing when you find someone that has the same unique quality that you do, can you imagine finding a dog? This is Carter Blanchard, aged 8 years old, and his best friend, Rowdy. They may be different species, but both dog and human share the same genetic disorder called vitiligo. This generally harmless disease will cause lighter patches of skin to spread across one’s body due to melanin irregularities. We hope that Carter and Rowdy will always look out for one another.

5. Magical Eyes

They say that the eyes are the windows into the soul. This woman must have a fantastical soul, then! Have you ever seen irises like these? We would not be able to look away if we locked eyes with this person. This photo is of the photographer’s wife, who wanted to show the world how incredibly colored her eyes are. This condition is most likely Fuchs’ crypts, which causes the irises’ borders to form lacunae.

6. Partial Heterochromia

Our next eye specialist has partial heterochromia in both her eyes. She has a stunning blend of olive green and brown eyes. As beautiful as this condition is, you might be wondering if people with it have any vision issues? People with heterochromia will not generally have any issues with their sight. Incredibly, heterochromia can be caused in the womb, when two fertilized eggs fuse together to create a zygote. This condition is also known as a “chimera”.

7. Different Colored Hair

No, this woman has not been dying her hair since she was a baby. Our next amazing human was submitted by their sister. She wanted to show the world her amazing hair coloring: half brunette, half blonde! You might have seen some cats that have two different colorings joined perfectly in the middle, but have you ever seen a human with this ideal split? This woman is also a chimera, and two fertilized eggs likely fused in her mother’s womb.

8. Hereditary Eyebrow Gap

You might have to look closely at our next submitter’s eyebrows closely to spot their unique trait. Yes, that’s right! Her right eyebrow has a long, curved gap in it. Amazingly, this young lady was able to trace her genetic gift through a painting of one of her ancestors! The man in the painting has a gap in the same eyebrow, in almost the same place. While it might look like a scar from a nasty fall, this gap is all thanks to the wonders of inheritance!

9. Cat Eye Syndrome

No, this boy is not wearing special eye contacts. We have seen some sensational eyes on this list, but this boy’s peepers might just be the most amazing. Known as “Cat Eye Syndrome”, coloboma is a condition where a cleft develops in a person’s irises, causing the pupil to widen. This is what gives people with coloboma distinct cat-like eyes. Cat eye syndrome can also extend to different parts of the body, like the skin, heart, kidneys, or ears.

10. Incredible Hair Growth

This baby, whose name is Chanco, was born with an incredible head of hair, which did not stop growing! This picture shows Baby Chanco at 7 months old, where her hair has grown amazingly fast and thick. Baby Chanco’s majestic mane could have been caused by a condition similar to hirsutism, where a person will grow an excessive amount of hair. This shouldn’t cause Baby Chanco many issues as she grows older, although she might need to visit her hairdresser regularly.

11. Eye With Birthmark

We now return to the eye department with our next incredible human. This man has a birthmark, but you won’t find it anywhere on his skin. Rather, this gentleman’s birthmark formed on his eye! It looks like an inky tattoo, and it seems to stretch well into his eyeball’s surface. This does not seem to be a case of conjunctival nevus, which looks more like a freckle or a bruise, and therefore this person probably won’t have any medical issues.

12. Smooth Fingerprints

One of the most unique and defining aspects of a human being is its fingerprints. Now, imagine if you went to get your identification document done, and found that you didn’t have any when it came to the fingerprints section! This person was born without fingerprints and most likely has dermatoglyphic. This condition stops a person from developing the loops and ridges in their fingertips that form fingerprints. They must have a tough time explaining this one to the authorities!

This next man has the kind of arms that many athletes would kill for. As you can see from his picture, they are superiorly long! If he does, we’re sure that a career with the NBA awaits. To be fair, he could also be an untouchable boxer with that deadly reach!

14. Polydactyly – More Fingers Than Normal

It is incredibly rare for one person in a family to have a genetic irregularity. Now imagine an entire family with a shared unique trait! This Brazilian family’s 12 members all have 12 fingers on their hands, as well as 12 toes on their feet! All of them! These extra digits were caused by polydactyly, which despite being rare, often runs in entire families. We hope that these extra fingers and toes give this family the edge!

15. Fingers Without Middle Joints

While our last family enjoyed a hereditary upgrade to their hands, our next submitter had some function taken away from his. If you look closely at his pictured hand, you will notice that his fingers are missing middle joints. They therefore cannot bend the way that most fingers do. You guessed it: this cutie has heterochromia. In today’s world, many people are far more tolerant of genetic marvels like this. Sadly, kids like this young man might have been discriminated against in ancient times, as people believed heterochromia to be the “Evil Eye.”

17. Conjoined Toes

Our feet are amazing and being able to walk upright was one of ancient humanity’s biggest advantages over the rest of the animal kingdom. While we all enjoy wiggling our toes, this father and son duo doesn’t have as much freedom as others. As you can see, their two middle toes on both their respective feet were fused. Of course, both adult man and baby are unlikely to ever experience issues with walking or running.
