Here we have another actress who broke from her teen-friendly roles like the iconic one in Mean Girls to become a member of the Hollywood elite. Rachel McAdams was born in Canada, and after earning her York University theater degree, she went on to rock the Canadian television scene. She was destined for Hollywood glory, however, as she was soon recognized as a much-needed potential in the American film scene. The Notebook, The Time Traveler’s Wife, and Sherlock Holmes are some of her best roles.
