She halted in mid-sentence while paying close attention, and out of the corner of her eye, she noticed movement. Sarah followed the movement, cautiously through the thicket on her hands and knees as her heart pounded. Yet she couldn’t believe her eyes when she eventually caught sight of the beast once more.

Sarah came across the beast and its litter of infants huddled in a tiny area. She could not face the idea of the animal and its young being taken away or hurt, even though she knew the police would likely discover them. She consequently made the difficult choice to bring the creature and its young back to her house so that she could look after them.
