While Florida is largely stereotyped as having a wild and violent population, did you know that it also has a lot of obese people, with a 28.4% obesity rate? Like most other states with an overweight problem, The Florida Department of Health has done its best to curb both its high crime levels and obesity rate. It fights the latter issue by trying to inspire Floridians to work out more and eat healthier through targeted programs within both school cafeterias and workplaces.
