Evan had not encountered that much negative attention growing up, which is why he was so shocked when some of the boys started targeting him. His cheerful demeanor withered and his school became a place that he associated with misery and humiliation, meaning that he no longer wanted to attend. Evan’s parents were equally distressed to see their sweet little boy so miserable, and it pained them greatly to know that he was being victimized.
