Nancy Kerrigan – Then
Despite Nancy Kerrigan’s family always being in a financial crisis, her father worked three jobs including driving the ice resurfacer in exchange for his daughter’s skating lessons. David Kerrigan stopped at nothing to ensure that she could reach her dreams of becoming a superstar figure skating champion. In 1987, Nancy turned heads at the U.S Figure Skating Championships with her jumping abilities, she also placed fourth in this competition.

Nancy’s dreams of becoming a champion figure skater started when she was just 6 years old, her ambitions pushed her towards glory and in 1992 she won a bronze medal at the Games in Albertville in France. Despite the scandal surrounding her attack, she went on to compete in the 1994 Games in Norway. More recently, she has appeared on the television show Dancing With The Stars in season 24, commemorating her outstanding career as an ‘80s fitness star!
