While Mark was on a walk, he came across a black cobra. When the snake raised its head and stared at him, he turned around in horror. Mark hesitated, unsure of what to do. There were no wild snakes in the area, so he assumed it had somehow gotten loose. The cobra started to make its way toward him. Mark was taken completely by surprise. The snake appeared extremely frail. Perhaps it needed a little assistance.

Mark was startled by how quickly the cobra was moving towards him and attempted to retreat by crawling backward. He was completely clueless about the cobra's demands for him.
