A Warning For Others
As Jessica Allen had mentioned, she would never be willing to even consider surrogacy again as what she experienced can only be explained as a real-life nightmare. However, she does not regret her decision. "[My husband and I] weren't planning to expand our family so soon, but we treasure Malachi with all our hearts. I don't regret becoming a surrogate mom because that would mean regretting my son. I just hope other women considering surrogacy can learn from my story. And that a greater good will come out of this nightmare," she explained to the New York Post.

The Real Victims
After the horrific story was published, many people began to voice their opinions about who the real victims of the situation were. While many felt saddened about the experience for Jessica and her husband, others realized that the Chinese couple were the true victims as they would have naturally already suffered after failing to conceive their own child and opted for surrogacy as a last resort, only to be handed a horror situation of discovering one of the twins was actually not their child at all.
