Their Son Was Finally Where He Belonged
At long last, the baby was where he belonged and Jessica was able to rename him, Malachi. The story only really grabbed the attention of the media nearly a full year after the his birth, but now baby Malachi is now growing up where he truly belongs. "He's a little man. He's like 10 months going on 10. He's walking around already. He's trying to talk. He has an attitude and he's funny and his personality is just goofy and bossy all at once. He walks around like he runs the world," Jessica described Malachi’s developments to People.

Surrogacy is by no means a decision to be made lightly, and there can be devastating consequences like in Jessica's experience, but there are also stories such as Nicola and Kevin Barattini's, whose journey to happiness was filled with turmoil.
