Perpetual Fear
“The worst thing was that I lived in constant worry that they’d get into a car accident and die, and that they’d never come to get me,” he added.
“I never felt resentful toward my parents since I knew they cared for me and were doing the best they could. However, I was enraged by the circumstances of the event. There were several occasions when I sobbed on the inside. Eventually, I reached a point where I was ready to give up,” he said further.
Fantasy Or Reality?
His greatest worry was that he would one day die in his room by himself, alone and without anybody to care for him. I was still a child at the end of the day, after all. “And what child wouldn’t want to spend time with their mum and father?” he said rhetorically.
As he said, “it was really tough to go through so many dreadful things without them at your side, without someone to calm and protect you.”
