He Applied To A University
Martin had to prepare a statement explaining why he wanted to pursue a degree in Computer Science in order to be accepted into the program. His amazement at learning that he had been accepted came shortly after sending in his letter of application.
However, even though he was unable to control his pen at the time, this did not prevent him from applying for a scholarship via Google and beating out opponents from Oxford and Cambridge.
He Gained Friends
Martin was even able to meet some new acquaintances while at the campus. In spite of the fact that he is naturally timid and introverted, he says he “learned a great deal and evolved enormously as a person” during his time in the military.
“I gained a great deal of knowledge and developed tremendously as a person. I felt more confident, and it was as if I had been able to reclaim a significant portion of my life that I had previously lost track of.”
