11.Nebraska – 34.1% Obesity Rate

Nebraska is one of many alarming states when it comes to obesity rates, one that has continued to rise throughout recent years. From 2013 onward the state witnessed a skyrocketing obesity rate that led to more than one-third of its total population suffering from obesity. Various health-focused programs have been put in place to try and remedy the situation, but it seems like their scattered efforts have failed to convince a population addicted to sugar.

10.South Carolina – 34.1% Obesity Rate

We have now reached a catastrophic obesity rate with South Carolina’s leading 34.1%. You can blame the state’s worship of soul food for its sizeable population, with fried okra, rich grits, collard greens, she-crab soup, and pecan pies being standard fare. Even the fittest, no-nonsense health fanatic may buckle under the temptation of such mouth-wateringly indulgent cuisine, and so you can imagine how difficult it is for the average South Carolinian. This is one of the heaviest populations in America.
