Barney Was A Nightmare
The first episode of NPR’s series Invisibilia had Martin confessing that one of his worst childhood memories was of him and his buddies sitting around the television watching Barney and his pals. He was driven to sit and observe it for what seemed like an indefinite amount of time.
“I can’t even begin to tell you how much I disliked Barney,” the author expresses his feelings about the character. Martin was able to hear and see everything that was going on around him.
