The animal-loving couple had never experienced this type of problem with any one of their dogs and had little experience that could shed light on the reasons for Storie being overdue. Chris and Mariesa searched online for answers, however, the internet just proved to be a scary place that only amplified their concerns for the mom-to-be. Despite the terrifying suggestions the internet provided, the couple searched on and came across one article that seemed to explain their situation.

The article suggested that the dog could be under immense stress as a result of trauma from being abandoned. Despite the fact that shelters are equipped to deal with animals that are pregnant, the large number of abandoned animals would make for a stressful environment for Storie and it affected her beyond comprehension. If you have ever been to a shelter, then you know that these are not the happiest environments for anyone to be in.
