The Pit Bull needed medical attention immediately, thus, the couple made the decision to do whatever it would take to save her, even though they knew that their efforts could cause a devastating loss of Storie and her puppies. While Mariesa and Chris were discussing the adoption and the risks it posed, Storie rested her head on Mariesa knee and looked up at her with sadness and despair, as if the Pit Bull was pleading for help. It was enough for Mariesa to confirm her decision. She would do whatever it took to help the mom-to-be, despite any possible risks.
