Endless Efforts
Staying positive in the face of ever-present adversity, young Courtney simply kept on keeping on, as the saying goes. She faced many challenges beyond those extensively mentioned, and it must be said that her fortitude was both admirable and indicative of the many thousands who must overcome similar odds. Courtney certainly wasn’t an isolated case, with so many pregnant American women being forced to work all hours. Many of these women will tragically suffer health complications and even miscarriages from the exertion.

Courtney reports that even though she was certain she couldn’t place the strange man, she felt compelled that there was something out of place about the situation. She may have thought it his odd demeanor, but as a professional waitress, she had obviously encountered aloof types before. Courtney was used to encountering all manner of characters in her daily work and knew how to deal with them. But there was something so alarming about this particular stranger…
